No matter what genre or form of music you listen to, we all have a love for music in common. Music can bring communities together, express cultural differences, and spread different messages into our homes. If you have ever been to a music festival, you know how crazy it can get. People flock from all around the world to these excursions in hopes to see their favorite musician, show off Instagram-worthy outfits, and have the best time of their life.

While some travel around the country, others require a bit more of a drive. I've cultivated the top music festivals that are definitely worth the car or plane trip. These events are guaranteed to leave you feeling blissful too happy for words. Be warned, some of these are so out of this world you actually might feel a bit depressed for a week after it has finished. No worries though, you can always tag along for the next years show to have a never-ending experience.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

This is an annual festival that comes together at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Genres of music include rock, electronic dance, hip hop, pop, and independent. This is one of the top festivals that brings some of the most famous musicians together. Austin City Limits Music Festival

Austin City Limits is a two week, three-day weekend extravaganza. It is produced by the same company that produces Lollapalooza and is guaranteed to be a fantastic time. Lollapalooza

Created in 1991, Lollapalooza has been an annual music festival that includes genres from hip-hop, electronic, metal, pop, punk rock, alternative rock, and everything in between. They also provide comedy performance as well as non-profit and political groups as well as various performing artists. This is an electronic dance festival you don't want to miss out on. The eight-day, two-weekend event is a creation even your imagination couldn't dream up. Be warned, after leaving this electronic music festival you will feel out of place in this world for a few days.
