5 Podcasts You Will Fall In Love With

One ritual that I used to indulge in on my commute to work was the radio. I would listen to the new releases of music, the witty banter of radio hosts, and the insufferable ads. After reading one of those articles on how to be successful, I learned that some people use that time to listen to educational and motivating podcasts. So I decided to try it on for size and see if it fit for me. Not only did it fit, but I found a new love in podcasts.

While I no longer have a morning commute to work (unless the bed to the home office counts), I do still love having this ritual in my daily routine. The great thing about podcasts is that you can find almost any topic out there that you are interested in and, without even trying, can get a dose of education with your morning cup of coffee.

Whether you are looking for entertainment or information, I highly suggest incorporating podcasts into your daily routine. You can download them from almost anywhere (Spotify, iTunes, Podcast Addict) and stream them in the car or at home. For me, I try to keep a good variety of different topics so that I always have something new to listen to each day. These podcasts are educational, motivating, and have some great humor mixed in as well. If you are starting and don't know whom to listen to, I will encourage you to give these five podcasts a try and see if they are a good fit for your life.

The Health.Code
I found this podcast from one of my favorite YouTubers, Sarah's Day. Located in Austrailia, this girl had me hooked with her witty personality, caring demeanor, and energy that could light the world. Her Youtube channel focuses on everything from health to wellbeing. If you haven't watched any of her videos, I highly encourage you to head that way (even my boyfriend loves them!). As an extension, her and her boyfriend (Kurt) team up to give you all types of information from health to relationships.

This podcast is an excellent podcast for anyone who is looking for health tips, inspiration, and a few laughs before the workday. They keep the mood light while diving into subjects we all want to know about in life. It is more like sitting in the car with your friends than listening to a podcast.

Girlboss Radio
To my recollection, I started following this podcast after reading #Girlboss (although I could be wrong). Either way, this is an excellent female empowerment station that everyone can enjoy. If you don't know much about Girlboss, you should head to their website (after reading this, of course). Founded by Sophia Amoruso, Girlboss is a place for females to go and learn about other successful women all over the world. Their mission is to “redefine success for millennial women by providing the tools and connections they need to own their futures.”

The podcast is just an extension of this fantastic community. Created by Sophia, this podcast has successful women from different industries discussing how they got to the top, what you need to become a Girlboss, and what success means to them. It is a great place to get pumped for your dream career and motivate your work day.

Online Marketing Made Easy
For any bloggers out there, download this podcast immediately. Actually, anyone looking for marketing strategies should have this in their list of things to listen to daily. Created by Amy Porterfield, this is the ultimate place to learn tips and advise from top people in the industry. From this podcast alone I have learned how to grow my audience through social media, how to boost my SEO and the importance of marketing yourself.

She gets people on her show that are experts in marketing, and they explain how you can become successful through easy to follow techniques. Even if you think you wouldn't benefit from this knowledge, I still suggest listening to an episode. You don't realize how much information is out there until you hear it from a strangers perspective.

The Joe Rogan Experience
I'm not going to lie; I'm not a fan of Joe Rogan's voice (don't come for me). He is a bit loud (intentionally), but once you get around that, you will fall in love with this podcast. Honestly, you probably have already listened to at least one episode since this is an incredibly popular podcast. Joe Rogan is a comedian, actor, and a little bit of everything else. He gets people from all walks of life on his show and, for lack of a better answer, has a chat with them.

Not every episode will be for you, but this is one to keep on your phone. You learn about so many different cultures, careers, and have a good laugh when listening to The Joe Rogan Experience.

The Last Podcast On The Left
This podcast is probably my boyfriend's favorite to listen to on his way to work. This series is another one I could almost guarantee all of you have heard of before. Like horror, gore, and real-life murders? The Last Podcast On The Left is your place to go. Three friends (with guest speakers occasionally) sit around and talk about all the morbid curiosities we have in life. They dive deep into conspiracies, joke about serial killers, and give you a horrific dose of Creepy Pasta.

For anyone who loves horror and comedy while being informed, you have found your ultimate home. The Last Podcast On The Left is a great place to hang your hat and learn about the life of your favorite serial killers. Don't worry, no judgments from here (I have the curiosity bug too). Just don't listen to it too much. Otherwise, you might start saying random horrific jokes in front of strangers and freak people out.

What are some of your favorite podcasts? If you listen to any of these that I mentioned, which episode was one you would suggest to others? To me, streaming podcasts instead of music is a great way to stay informed while doing my morning routines. Don't worry though; I still listen to music (especially in the shower).
